From Problem Solver to Ecosystem Builder

How one conversation revealed broken systems in healthcare, business, wealth, and workforce infrastructure.

From Problem Solver to Ecosystem Builder book cover by Alan David Bush

This book started with one conversation.

My coworker Dean introduced me to his sister Krystal in Texas. Krystal was navigating a career transition into independent contracting. What started as basic guidance quickly exposed larger infrastructure issues.

1

Dean made the introduction. Dean recognized I had accounting and business experience and connected me with Krystal.

2

Krystal needed direction. She was deciding between traditional employment and launching her own business as a 1099 professional.

3

The bigger discovery. Krystal revealed her employer supported 100 healthcare facilities and 150 contractors. That changed everything.

4

The ecosystem was born. I realized contractors, employers, families, and business owners all needed better infrastructure.

My breaking point.

While working for the City of Stamford, I experienced growing frustration. Poor leadership decisions impacted compensation opportunities and became a wake-up call. That frustration became fuel.
